Mental well-being matters. Licensed psychologists are available 24/7 for confidential conversations, both before joining and after leaving the vessel. Onboard access to these services ensures support is always within reach.

Our voluntary long-term savings program helps Scorpio crew plan for life’s important milestones—such as marriage, buying a home, children’s education, or retirement. Best of all, vessel owners match contributions up to 3% of the crew member’s salary, building financial security together.

Through our partnership with Oceanic, all galley staff receive specialized training in nutrition, international cuisine, and menu planning aligned with WHO dietary guidelines—ensuring healthy, balanced meals at sea.

The optional ShipMoney digital cards are a safe alternative to cash advance, usable anytime to withdraw money from ATMs, to send money to family, recharge mobile phones, etc.

We place a high importance on the mental well-being of our seafarers, recognizing that a healthy mind is key to a safe, efficient, and positive onboard experience. Life at sea comes with unique pressures, and we actively respond by upgrading onboard environments and strengthening support systems to foster balance and resilience.

Our crew can reach out at any time to an Ombudsman, Psychologist, or Welfare Consultant for confidential support. Recreational spaces on board include options like board games, video games, table tennis, and, in many cases, basketball courts. We also provide free access to public computers with Wi-Fi, helping seafarers stay connected with home. And, when possible, we facilitate visits and sailing arrangements for our crew’s family members.
